From the banks of the Murray River to the far northwestern reaches of New South Wales, we head to Sydney the very, very long way round. Starting in Echuca, we followed the Murray up to Mildura before crossing into New South Wales and heading north to Broken Hill. Mungo National Park, Kinchega National Park and Mutawintji were all on the agenda before reaching Cameron Corner. Standing at the point where three Australian States meet, we pointed east, wound our way through White Cliffs, picked up the Darling River Run to Bourke and found ourselves in awe of the weird and wonderful world of Lightning Ridge. Three weeks and 3,000km later, the Troopy had officially had her first taste of Outback Australia.
