Crossing the vast expanse of the Tanami Desert combined the most beautiful red dust with the most bone-rattling corrugations we’d ever encoutered. It was a long way to Alice Springs via the bush, and when the rolling hills of Judburra gave way to the immense flatness of the desert, we knew we were in for a long, hot and dusty drive!
